Nangyala's Line-up:

Daniël Wöltgens (Lead vocals) joined the band in August 1998 and is the newest member of Nangyala. Before joining Nangyala he was lead singer in a cover band which played songs from Pearl Jam, Live, R.E.M. and Nirvana. His grungy voice was very suitable for this songs but he left the band because he didn't want to sing covers anymore.

Peter Chattelin (Bass and some vocals) founded 'Pink Project' in 1993 obsessed of the idea to play Pink Floyd's 'The Wall' live with the complete show. After the succesful performances in 1995 the project stopped and together with some other members of the project he joins the idea of starting a symphonic rock band. During the next few years he revived the Pink project for two more performances ('The Wall' in 1996 and 'Dark Side of the Moon' in 1998.)

Pieter Hanja (Lead Guitars) started as guitar player in Than D. Orange, a rock band from The Hague. He always admired music from Pink Floyd and specialy their guitar player David Gilmour. After leaving Than D. Orange and hearing about a symphonic rock band which was looking for a new guitar player, he joined Nangyala in March 1998.

Tom Spaapen (Keyboards and guitars) had just started with his study on the conservatory when he joined the Pink Project in October 1994. He joins Nangyala also during the foundation of the band. Together with former lead singer/guitarist Alex Armaos he started to play drums in a cover band called 'the Fisherman's Band' which existed for about 2 years. On the conservatory he studies Jazz Piano, but in 1999 he gets his degree with 'school music' and decides to study for one more extra year.

Danyo Romijn (Keyboards and some guitar) started as metal guitarist (used to play before with Alex Armaos and Geronio Welling in a metal band called 'Eclipse'), played keyboard and guitar in 'Pink Project' and joined Nangyala during the foundation in 1995. He recorded an album with synthesizer music called 'Void' in 1997 (the music was written mostly in 1994).

Geronio Welling (Drums) first played in 'Met Pepperin', a rock band with Led Zeppelin influences, before joining a metal band called 'Eclipse' (together with former lead singer and guitarist Alex Armaos). This band existed for about 6 years and split in April 1994. A year later he was asked by his former band members Danyo and Alex to complete the line-up of Nangyala and so he joined the band in June 1995, a few months after the foundation.
